Take a moment to reflect on designing your pedigree.

What steps did you need to complete in order to plan your pedigree?

There were multiple steps I needed to complete in order to have my final product of the Guillotin/Liu Pedigree. I first needed to fill out the family portrait sheet Jonathan had given us. I wrote in all of my nuclear and extended family member's names. I wrote in the color of the eyes and hair (my two traits were hair color and eye color) of Then with the help of Jonathan, I was able to use the images and lines available on

www.lovelycharts.com to create my pedigree. With more editing and writing of the chart keys, I was able to finish the project the way I was supposed to. My pedigree would not have come out as good as it would have if I did not follow all of the steps.

What did you need to think about when you were creating and organizing your pedigree?

When i was creating and organizing my pedigree, the main thing i had to focus on was how to organize my information. I had done multiple different ways. I tried using different symbols for the children and adults but stuck with male and female symbols instead. I also had to think about how i was going to incorporate the different traits into the pedigree. The last thing I had to think about was how and what to add into the chart keys and the pedigree title.
